Senior Shepherd Position Glenburn station is located on the east coast of the Wairarapa, a sixty minute drive from Masterton.  Glenburn is a unique coastal station with hunting, diving and fishing.  It is a family owned sheep and beef farm 2830ha in size running 20,000 stock units.  Glenburn winters 6,750 breeding ewes, 535 breeding cows and 60 hinds.  The property finishes approximately half of its steers and 80% of its lambs.  This job is 90% stock work and 10% general farm work.  Working at Glenburn will give you all round experience dealing with cattle, sheep and deer.  The successful applicants will learn a variety of management techniques related to the semi intensive finishing system and the extensive breeding operation.  We encourage personal development and Ag ITO qualifications are optional.
