Block Manager
Due to one of our team buying their first farm, an opportunity has arisen for a hard working, self motivated person to join our team as a block manager. The position starts 1st June 2021. We have a 1150ha (912ha eff) sheep and beef farm with 50/50 sheep and cattle split. We aim to finish all stock with the cattle operation being predominantly a bull finishing system. Finishing up to 600 bulls per year. The farm is situated 6km from Piopio in the King Country.
The successful applicant will:
Be responsible for implementing the farm plan for a 300ha block
Need at least two working dogs
Be able to work unsupervised and in a team
Have general farm maintenance skills and high standards
Have some experience with tractors
