Seven Hills Farming is a family-owned farming business, located just 15 minutes from Pahiatua and Eketahuna. The proud owners Bryan and Nicki Bendall run the highly successful Seven Hills Farming Angus stud; they have an on-farm bull sale in June.
The property is 1450ha and offers a mix of contour from 200ha of flats and approximately 700ha of medium to steep hill country, there is also 500ha of Manuka. They are currently running 10,000su with a 50:50 split of Romney sheep and Angus cattle.

As the Shepherd/Experienced Shepherd, this role offers an 80:20 split between stock and general work. The role will offer a variety of work covering all aspects of the day-to-day stock work, through to gaining experience on the intricacies of a stud operation. You will have the opportunity to work autonomously and to be part of a team.
A BIT ABOUT YOU…
Along with 2 years of relevant experience and a passion for the industry, the successful applicant will have:
Due to the stud operation, you will require a high level of accuracy with your tagging and record-keeping, along with a strong emphasis on animal health. Ensuring the drench book is kept up to date will also be part of your role.
As part of the attractive remuneration package, there is a fully insulated three-bedroom cottage.
