Knobloch Farming Limited is a family owned business, located 20 minutes east of Waipawa, in the highly desirable Omakere district. The 2,312ha property encompasses 4 blocks that are run as one unit, it is a semi-intensive sheep, beef and deer farming operation with both breeding and finishing, currently running 20,000 stock units.
The position of the Senior Shepherd is to assist management with carrying out the day to day operational aspects of the Knobloch Farming business, with the key objective being to maximise the productivity and profitability of the property through sustainable farming practices.
The infrastructure on this property has been developed to a high standard, allowing this role to have a priority towards stock work with some general work to be completed when required.
There is a small inclusive team at Knobloch Farming. There will be times when you will work autonomously, making decisions and communicating these back to the team.

Knobloch Farming Ltd is located in the farming district of Omakere in Central Hawke’s Bay. It is a commutable distance to Waipawa, Waipukurau and Hastings. Pourerere Beach is a 15 minute drive away. Due to the location, there are multiple work and school options as well as plenty of recreational activities on offer.
