Waitaka Farming Partnership is a 2100ha effective, sheep and beef breeding and finishing operation based in the King Country. This family-owned farming operation is running 20,000 stock units across four properties. It is well sub-divided with sustainable infrastructure. The farming operation is split into four blocks, each approximately 700ha effective, with separate Block Managers.
Our client is very passionate about the farming operation and takes a lot of pride in the business; they are community minded and encourage their staff to get involved in the community spirit.
As the Block Manager you will be responsible for the day-today operation of one 660 ha block. Wintering 450 Bulls, 100 Steers, 2000 Ewes, 1000 Hoggets, which are all grass fed. Key responsibilities for this role include stock work, animal health, and stock rotations, along with repairs and maintenance as required on this block.
As one of four Block Managers you will be part of an experienced team reporting directly to supportive Farm Owners. The wider team will work together for key seasonal tasks.
