Job Description
Rockburn is a 540ha family owned farm located 15 minutes from Geraldine, South Canterbury.
We are looking for a general farm hand with some experience and an interest in livestock. The farm currently runs 2800 Ewes, 100 bulls and 300 Wagyu.
This role is split between stock work and farm maintenance, and includes:
Drenching, vaccinating, weighing and moving stock
R&M of fences and water systems
Tractor and machinery operation
Weed control and other general tasks
The ideal applicant will have:
One or two dogs under good control
Ability to safely operate an ATV, motorbike and Tractor on hill country
Fencing and general farm maintenance skills
Attention to detail including accurate record keeping
Be honest, reliable and willing to learn
Be able to work independently or as part of a team
Have experience in stock handling
Salary to be negotiated.
You need to hold a NZ drivers license.
