Gopperth Contracting, based in South Taranaki is a professional business servicing the harvesting and cropping needs of Clients throughout South Taranaki. Established in 2000, Gopperth Contracting is proud of the strong relationships held with Clients and staff, employing up to 25 people at the peak of the season. The contracting fleet is made up of 19 modern New Holland Tractors, 2 Claas choppers and a wide range of grass harvesting & cultivation equipment. The workshop is an organized as well as critical part of the business.
To be considered for this Workshop management role, applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing large Agricultural machinery and implements.
Personal attributes sought include - strong communication and organizational skills, problem solving abilities, reliability as well as a positive attitude, with a mechanically minded outlook.
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for;
- Maintenance, repair, and scheduled servicing of fleet
- Mechanical engineering and welding
- Managing supplier relationships
- Attending breakdowns on or off-site
- Inventory and documentation management
- Workshop presentation
- Health & Safety of workshop
- Machinery operation
- Leadership & communication
- Pre-employment drug test may be required
- Applicants for this position should have New Zealand residency or a valid NZ working visa
