The Role:
This family-owned operation has continued to expand and develop over the years with a primary focus on producing high-quality stock, maximising yields, and building weed and drought resistance. The farm encompasses over 11,000 arable acres and takes pride in wool production and their annual pasture renovation programs with the implementation of broadleaf’s and cereals to aid this.
While it is a mixed farming enterprise you will primarily be required to tend to the stock. The business is currently joining 8,500 merino ewes and 400 Angus breeding cattle with the aim to expand. Therefore, we are seeking someone with a passion for livestock and a good understanding of animal husbandry and the capabilities to put this into practice. Other aspects of the role include checking waters, spot spraying and all general farm maintenance.
This is a very diverse business, so we are in need of someone who is capable of helping in all aspects of the farm when required. This may include harvest, sowing and haymaking.

You will be rewarded with a generous remuneration package depending on your experience. The role also comes with a beautifully renovated 4-bedroom home with established trees and a large 4-bay garage. As part of the package, you will also be provided with a work ute for work purposes and a power allowance. The property is well positioned with Dalgety a short 20-minute drive away which provides a great community atmosphere and has a great pub! There is school bus access right past the front gate as Cooma and Jindabyne are within a 40-minute drive which also provides services such as shopping, medical services, ski fields and work opportunity for partners. Another added bonus of this role is that the coast is right on the doorstep being a short 1.5-hour drive down the road.
