Tractor driver/ Fencer General

We are seeking a General Hand to help maintain our beautiful dry stock property 25 minutes south east of Te Awamutu. The farm is 720ha/625ha effective of mixed terrain with great infrastructure.

Our intensive farming business runs 10,500su made up of 3,500 deer 500 dairy graziers and 500 sheep.

Main tasks will be

·         Feeding out - grass silage and PK

·         Fencing - new deer fencing and maintaining existing fences

·         Weed control - knap sack and gun spraying

·         Farm maintenance – general duties

Some stock/yard work will be required at our busy times i.e. docking, weighing and tagging

We are looking for someone who can integrate with an already established team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, experienced in operating and maintaining machinery, confident with stock and have a positive practical attitude.

Required skills

·         Tractor driving on steep terrain

·         Fencing new and maintenance

·         Ride a 2-wheel motorbike

·         Strong communication skills

·         Good record keeping

·         Strong respect for health and safety
