This is for a FULL TIME position, NOT seasonal for harvest!
Position to start February 2025.
West End Farms is seeking a full time experienced farm hand to join our family owned broad acre total cropping farm. This position is for a permanent full time individual and suited to a single person, couple or a family as we can offer the role of cooking/ cleaning at harvest and seeding time.
These sills are necessary but some can be learned on the job.
Agricultural, Mechanical experience, be able to service and maintain machinery,
Header operator,
Boom spray operator,
Operate the air seeder,
Hold an MC driver licence ( preferred),
Must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team,
Handle chemical correctly
Anyone with a willing to learn attitude and self motivation with only some of these skills will also be considered. A police clearance and fit for work/ medical certificate must be up to date for each person.
This position comes with a newly renovated 4 bedroom house and work vehicle, 2 X vehicle car port, wages will be negotiable on experience.
We are located 60km's west of Ravensthorpe, in between Esperance & Albany in Western Australia and roughly 100km drive to the coastal town of Hopetoun which has beautiful beaches and great for fishing.
Our community minded town accommodates a large food works shop, post office, chemist, community resource centre, bottle shop, pub /hotel, roadhouse to name a few.
We are also very fortunate to have a visiting dentist surgery at times and a newly built hospital and some fantastic ambulance volunteers. Our wonderful GP's work in both Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun and have brought many updated skills and experience to the area.
Ravensthorpe District High School runs from Kindy to year 10 and we are lucky to have a school bus run from our gate to town. We also have a fantastic boarding school from year 7 to year 12 in Albany.
Ravensthorpe also has their own sporting club for adults and children to enjoy.
