Shepherd General

EGL Pastoral is seeking a shepherd general to join the team on their 400ha plus intensive lamb finishing operation split across 2 properties 5 minutes apart. plus work on other grazing blocks throughout Southland.   The farms are situated 20 minutes from Winton or 30 minutes from Invercargill, Primary schools 10 minutes away.

This position is well suited to a person who enjoys working with stock and doesn’t mind working in the yards.

As a suitable candidate you will:

• Be able to work efficiently, both in a team and unsupervised
• Have at least 2 years of experience in the industry
• Be keen, motivated and honest
• Have a minimum of 2 working dogs
• Be able to handle stock and machinery with care and respect

We can offer the right applicant the opportunity to broaden their skill set through both on and off farm training.  A competitive salary will be negotiated based on experience.
