Black Hill Station is a 2700ha high country station situated on the south side of the Rakaia Gorge in Canterbury. It is located 1 ½ hours from Christchurch and 40 minutes from Methven.
Black Hill runs 1000 merino wethers and 100 breeding cows. It also has a summer lamb trading operation running 25,000 lambs from December to March on a 400ha flat. As well as 150ha of cereal crop. You will be working alongside the farm manager.
What you will provide:
A competitive remuneration package will be offered based on experience. Accommodation is a 2 bedroom house on site. Methven is home to a fantastic farming community that has many recreational activities to offer; hunting, jet boating as well as sports teams and young farmers.
The summers are physically demanding so please only apply if you think you would suit this.
