Australasia's leading pet wholesaler, Masterpet Corporation Ltd, has an exciting North Island based opportunity for an individual to promote the Company's leading range of Natural Pet Nutrition, Black Hawk Working Dog to Veterinary Clinic's and Farms.

The territory covers the North Island, based in the Hawke’s Bay.

  1. The ideal candidate would have experience within Sales, or the Agricultural sector with the ability to sell, with the perfect candidate having a previous Sales role within Vet or the Agricultural sector with relative skills that would transfer.
  2. You will be the type of person who is a talented achiever, who not only demonstrates an understanding of the industry but can persuade clients through outstanding communication skills, an eye for detailed execution of sales initiatives and the ability to deliver results fast.
  3. Your customer base will consist of, Vet Clinics who supply the brand onto Farms & end users of the brand – Farmers & their trusted companions.
  4. You will ideally bring proven success in managing a regular territory call cycle, sales target achievement, and the education/training of your client base to significantly increase product recommendation. The role does include regular out of town travel, with an expectation of approximately 10 nights per month. 

The successful applicant will possess the following key skills:

  • Strong relationship and communication skills
  • Sales experience – preferably in the animal health, human health or farming sector.
  • An ability to facilitate training sessions and engage individuals on a level that creates skills and brand advocacy
  • A passion and affiliation for the sheep and beef farming community incorporating working dogs
  • Prospecting for new business – New Farms & Vet Clinics
  • Effective time management & organizational skills
  • Experience in time & territory
  • Positive, self-motivating, professional sales person with an exceptional high work ethic
  • An understanding of the rural industry
  • Team Player
  • Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint skills
