Job Description

Training Scholarships are now available for aspiring students (including Year 12 and 13 school leavers) seeking a career in the sheep & beef industry. On offer is a full-time on-farm training programme which involves living and learning on leading commercial farms in the Wairarapa region. 

The Scholarship covers course fees, accommodation, food, farm protective clothing and a living allowance.

Students will be provided the opportunity to gain 205-235 Level 2 and Level 3 NZQA credits in Agriculture and the Growing Future Farmers (GFF) Essential Farm Skills Programme. 

This two year programme offers an innovative combination of:

  • Extensive on-farm experience
  • Quality specialist training
  • Individual student pastoral support
