Full time Drystock Other

Job Description

We are creating an exciting new position to work alongside the owner on our rolling 400ha sheep and beef property in West Otago.  We run an intensive system and also operate a sheep and cattle stud.  Our focus is on productivity with a wide range of stock classes.  The position would be ideal for someone who is looking to move into a stock managers position but is looking for experience in decision making.

Working closely with the owner, the ideal candidate will be someone who can work on their own and be able to take responsibility of specific classes of stock.  They will have enough understanding of our farm operations to make decisions with support of the owner.  This is a great opportunity for someone who already has at least three years of sheep and beef farming experience and would like to work in a supportive environment to progress to a management level.

Remuneration will depend on experience and ability. Accommodation (two bedroom flat) is included in the package.

If you are honest, have excellent communication skills, have a great worth ethic and are genuinely interested in sheep and beef farming please apply with a covering letter, CV and at least two referees before 9 August.
