A BIT ABOUT GLENCAIRN…

Glencairn is a 920ha sheep and beef property, running approximately 8,000su, located 25kms from Tuakau. The property was acquired by the Kelliher Charitable Trust in February 2014. Glencairn carries 4,000 breeding ewes, with all lambs finished, as well as a dedicated Bull finishing unit. The property is well resourced, with laneways, tracks and good equipment.

THE OPPORTUNITY…

Glencairn is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Shepherd to work alongside the Farm Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the operation. The role will require you to take lead with the stock management, animal health, and preparation for shearing and docking/weaning; side by sides and horses are used for stock work. With a supportive owner and management team the farm supports career progression.

A BIT ABOUT YOU…

This role requires a capable person who will work both independently and as part of the wider team to achieve the farm plan. Ideally you will have 4-5 working dogs under good control, have some experience in stock management, and be looking to move up the ladder.
