Good sense of humour? Honest and Reliable work ethos? Easy to get on with? Diligent and tidy? Then you are the All Round Good Guy/Gal to fill the position of Experienced Tractor Driver/General Hand which covers a wide variety of work on Lambhill Station.

You will NEED to have extensive experience driving tractors on moderate to steep hill country. The position will also involve a variety of day to day stock activity, repairs and maintenance including break fencing, weed spraying, fencing and yard work. Cultivation of paddocks for crop and young grass is the priority and main focus of this position which will start and fill yours days from early spring to late summer.

Lambhill Station is a breeding and finishing property situated in Hindon, Otago. Lambhill is a challenging 4,500ha hill country property carrying 21,000su consisting of Romney sheep and Angus cattle.

The property has undertaken an extensive development program under the current management and ownership with continuous development progressing.

This position is a perfect opportunity for a worker who has a progressive and energetic attitude whom enjoys a challenge.

Applicants must have:

  • experience driving large horse power tractors, specifically direct drilling and cultivation on rolling to steep paddock country

  • be a good team member with an easy sense of humour

Lambhill Station offers a competitive salary relative to experience, an autonomous enjoyable working environment within 1 hour of Dunedin City in addition to accommodation.  The position is situated along a gravel road approximately 40km from Mosgiel. This is a live-in position with accommodation provided in a semi-furnished two bedroom cottage. If hunting and fresh water fishing is your thing then Lambhill Station caters for both.
