About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for an  agronomist to join the wider Manawatu/Wairarapa team. You will be responsible for working within an established group of technical field officers, delivering expert technical alongside to improve and grow our  shareholders farm systems.

Alongside seed, chemical and fertiliser your sound knowledge of pastoral farming systems ensures collaborative success within the province to drive production across the range of farm systems. Within the national team of agronomists, you are responsible for ensuring you remain abreast changes within the agronomic space in the industry, with strong collaborative relationships to provide ongoing training and upskilling to the team when required.

With the knowledge and understanding you have within the farm system framework, coupled with a passion of the rural sector, your ability to communicate and build relationships that are second to none enable you to provide the technical support and training required in the agronomy space.

Desirable attributes includes:

  • Sound technical knowledge in the area of agrochemicals, seed and agronomy

  • Proficient with technology and utilising a range of software programmes
