Rangitikei Limited Partnership is seeking a motivated shepherd for Makaraka Farm, a 700 hectare beef and dairy support farm.  Makaraka's current farming system incorporates beef finishing and dairy grazers and includes the use of Halter collar technology. Makaraka is one of four farm properties owned by Rangitikei Limited Partnership on the fertile Rangitikei river terraces, just south of Hunterville. The farm is split across all three river terraces and has a flat (56%) to medium hill (26%) contour with 139 hectares under irrigation, split between three center pivot irrigators.
