We are looking for an experienced shepherd to join our team on our coastal sheep and beef farm in Porangahau. Our 1,000 hectare farm runs breeding ewes and cows, with the majority of our stock finished on farm. The role is primarily stock work, with fencing, maintenance and general farm duties making up the balance. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and honest. They will have good stockmanship and  4 to 5 well trained dogs. The successful applicant will have some sheep and beef experience. We can offer the right person the opportunity to extend their farming knowledge and develop their skill set, with support for further training and education. This position offers a good variety of work. You will have the opportunity to learn about cropping and finishing systems as well as all aspects of sheep and cattle breeding, including animal health plans and parasite management.
