This is an opportunity to join a family owned and operated mixed cattle and farming enterprise in Glenmorgan, Queensland, approximately 4.5 hours west of Brisbane. The property covers 50,000 acres and runs approximately 4,000 head of composite cattle. Farming operations include 4,000 acres of forage crops, with the remainder consisting of pasture and grazing country. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations, including: Operating farm machinery Handling livestock using motorbikes and horses General repairs and maintenance Accommodation is provided on the property, along with some meals. Keinton Combe is a 780ha Sheep and Beef operation located 10 minutes from Waiau or 1hr 50 minutes North of Christchurch. The hill country property currently runs 3000 Romney Breeding ewes as well as 800 Hoggets and 150 Angus/Hereford cows. Aiming to finish 2000 of the works lambs annually. Property overview: We are a proud multi-generational family farming business that operates on Ngatahuna (1100 ha effective) located in the Wainuioru district 25 minutes east of Masterton. The farm has a range of contour from flat/easy rolling hills through to steep hill country. We winter around 10,000 SU, made up of 4,800 breeding ewes and 250 breeding cows, alongside their replacements. Trading policies are very much seasonally dependent, we aim to finish as many of our progeny as the season allows. We’re looking for a reliable and practical General Farm Worker to join our sheep, beef and cropping operation in South Canterbury. This is a varied, full-time role suited to someone with 2–3 years’ farming experience. Duties include: • Sheep and cattle work • Tractor and machinery operation • Cropping, cultivation and drilling • Irrigation operation and maintenance • Fencing, repairs and general maintenance • Feeding out and stock water maintenance The successful applicant will be confident working with stock and machinery, able to work independently, reliable and willing to get stuck in.
