Head General Position The position of Head General has become available at Puketoro Station on the East Coast, North Island. Background McNeil Farming Ltd is an extensive farming business based north of Gisborne on the East Coast. Puketoro Station, as part of McNeil Farming Ltd, is an 8675ha hill country sheep and beef Station located one hour inland from Tokomaru Bay. Our English worker has just returned home, leaving us with some pretty big boots to fill. Consequently, we are looking for a junior farm worker to join our small team. Clachanburn Station is over 2000ha, consisting of steep hill country and irrigated flat land located in the Maniototo, Central Otago. We have both Elk and Red deer studs, which we produce for venison, velvet and for our trophy hunting business. We also have bison, Highland cattle and Arapawa sheep. We are looking for someone fit, hard working and enthusiastic who is keen to expand their knowledge and ability on one of the most high-class deer farms in the country. Estcourt is 1200 hectares, including a 340 neighbouring lease running 6000 ewes, 1800 hoggets, 380 cows and 140 replacements on medium to steep hill country with a small portion of flat country. The farm is located in Alfredton, 20 minutes from Pahiatua, 15 minutes from Eketahuna. We are a family run farm, passionate about our staff and the business. We prioritize opportunities for our shepherds to develop their skills on and off the farm. The role will be split 90:10 between stock work and general.
