1,500 cows at Patoka, running a split shift either 3.30am to 3pm or 7am to 5.30pm. Breakfast provided to the early shift over calving & mating. We are a Halter farm with protrac, inshed feeding and utilising a feed pad when necessary. We are a team of eight with two 2IC’s running separate shifts. Lake House “ Lake House” Tasmania is a family owned farming business in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania, farming 700ha. The fully irrigated property grows a wide range of crops from; W heat, Barley, Canola, C arrot S eed, Chicory, G rass S eed, F resh P eas, P oppies and P otatoes. We run 2500 ewes for fat lamb production as well as trading , agistment dairy support with halter collars and dairy grazing throughout the year on weight gain contracts. As the Farm Worker you will be working alongside our farm manager, and you will have a keen interest in farming, be willing to learn, be able to work independently and take sole charge at times.
