Ngatarua Station is a strong Taihape hill country breeding farm consisting of 1400ha made up of an excellent balance of contour using a grass based system with no winter crops. Our existing  block manager is heading south after 7 years in the business. In that time we have made a transition to a shedding sheep base maternal flock whilst running a large terminal operation on 600ha which he oversaw. The total business runs approximately 9000 sheep alongside 450 breeding cows plus replacements. We incorporate a flexible cattle trading aspect which will see us trade approximately 400 heifers this season. We are looking for a self motivated, competent person who: - Is passionate about stock and farming - Has a team of capable dogs and/or is keen to continually improve them.
