Settled on the western shores of Lake Wanaka, Minaret Station is a working farm, home to some 12,000 deer, 1,300 cattle, and 1,000 sheep. This unique high-country station has no road access which means access to the station is made only by air or by boat. With the towering Minaret peaks above, the station is comprised of a range of land classes including cultivated flats, rolling-downs, steep hillsides, and lush pasture.

Minaret Station at Lake W anaka has a vacancy for a hardworking, honest, and reliable Shepherd General. This represents a great opportunity to join a small team across the lake involved in all elements of high-country pastoral farm work including livestock, maintenance, and development tasks. A minimum of one or two working dogs is a requirement. Applicants must have a genuine desire to live and work in a remote high-country environment as well as a genuine interest in gaining further experience working with deer and beef cattle.
