Siberia Station

A permanent position is available for a keen and reliable individual on a large-scale sheep and beef operation. Siberia Station is a 3,100ha hill country station situated 35 minutes from Hunterville and 40 minutes from Taihape. Siberia Station runs 15,000 m/a ewes, 4,800 hoggets, 170 cows and up to 1,400 trade steers. The successful applicant will work in conjunction with the farm manager, in a team of five permanent staff members, to carry out the day to day running of the property. Your role: As a general hand, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of a well-maintained sheep and beef farm. Working closely with the Farm Manager in a tight-knit team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring infrastructure remains in top condition. You will need knowledge of conventional fencing and competence in operating tractors and farm machinery.
