Livestock Manager

A diverse progressive Family owned mixed farming operation. Located in the pristine Wellington Shire on the 90 mile coast of Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. The operation focuses on Breeding, backgrounding and finishing Cattle and Sheep (x bred and merino) as well as Cropping both Grains and Fodder.

This is a position that requires you to think dynamically and be adaptable, as well as effectively utilising the resources available to you. You will have input to strategic running of the livestock component as well as control of day to day tasks.

The ideal candidate will have;

• Energetic, honest, positive attitude, excellent attention to detail
• Forward thinking and well organised
• Motivated to initiate and drive your own development
• Experience in Livestock husbandry, with an understanding of how to promote stock performance
• Experience in Grazing and pasture management
• General infrastructure maintenance  
• Good communication skills, ability to understand and deliver
• Good record keeping
• A leader in Health and Safety and best practice promoting team culture
