Brancott station is a 635ha Sheep and Beef breeding and finishing property located 40mins west of Napier and Hastings in the Waiwhare district. We are on the lookout for a keen Shepherd/General who is not afraid to get stuck in.
Under new management the successful applicant will be working alongside the manager and encouraged to bring new ideas to the table to help benefit the farming operation.
The ideal candidate to us will have.
• A basic understanding of grazing management and animal health.
• A good work ethic (especially when working alone)
• Good stockmanship
• Good General maintenance skills ( water systems /fencing)
• Confident operating farm machinery.
• The ability to communicate well
• A good team of dogs ( min 2 Headers 1 Huntaway)
• Common Sense and Honest
• Drivers licence
Brancott is rolling hill country and runs 2000 Romney ewes to a Terminal ram and 270 Angus cows and finishes most progeny as well as 200+ trade cattle a year. As well as another couple of properties in Tutira we are required to help out on in the busier times.
