Block Manager
Waitaka Farming Partnership is a Sheep a Beef Farming operation located in the King Country.
Te Anga is part of vibrant coastal community, with hunting, fishing and sports clubs at your back door. Located 45 minutes from Otorohanga and Te Kūiti.
We require a Block Manager on our Te Anga property, which is 660 hectares effective, wintering 300 bull’s, 150 steer’s, 1700 ewes and 900 hoggets all fed on a grass system.
The block has a long history of fertiliser, and infrastructure is of a high standard. You will be well supported by the partnerships farm manager and surrounding staff. If you enjoy working as part of a team this job will suit you.
The role will entail the day to day running of the Te Anga property, as well as involvement in the wider farming operation. You will report directly to the partnership farm manager.
You will require a sound understanding of how to manage livestock, animal health, stock records, general farm duties, and have a sound team of dogs
A tidy 3 bedroom home is available on the property, located 5 minutes from local primary school.
