Bennetts Hill Farming is a 1,250 hectare sheep and beef breeding/finishing operation.
It is split between Omahu (700ha) and Rangitumau (550ha).
The farm owners run Rangitumau and a Farm Manager and a shepherd run Omahu. Labour is shared for the big jobs.
Livestock comprises 4,000 high performing breeding ewes, 1,200 lambing ewe hoggets, 170 breeding cows, 600 trade cattle plus a lamb trading component. 1,200 of the breeding ewes are a fully recorded stud flock using DNA technology for parentage.
