FULL TIME JOB DESCRIPTION

We require any applicants to be capable in the following aspects of farm work:

Good mechanical/workshop skills with the ability to run a good maintenance programme on all types of vehicles. Ability to weld is also a bonus.Experience in all aspects of broad acre cropping.Experience in operating SP boom spray with knowledge of chemicals and tank mixing. Experience in the operation of cereal grain harvester.Fencing and water maintenance skills.HR licence is preferable, with a minimum C class licence.Punctual, neat and tidy, trustworthy with a good attention to detail and a good work ethic. We are a small family farm with all family involved in the business so these traits are especially important to us.The ability to work unsupervised and adequately plan tasks.Flexibility to work with seasonal staff.The ability to turn your hand to any task as required and self-motivation.

Accommodation, ute for work purposes are available as part of a package.

A brick and tile 3 bedroom house with study, one bathroom, two toilets and enclosed back yard with verandahs out front and rear of the house is included in the package.Rate of starting pay is $30/hour subject to age, experience and capabilities. A trial period of 3 weeks will be at a rate of $25/hour.

The local town of Ravensthorpe is 40km east of our farm, Ravensthorpe District High School, kindy thru to year 10. There are school bus services available. Ravensthorpe is a small town with a great community feel, with many groups such as art, equestrian, motocross, etc. The town consists of one grocery store, post office,  servicestations, community recourse centre, shire building, pub and some cafes. There are also many sporting activities for both summer and winter sports.
