We have available a shepherd/general hand position on our 760 ha property wintering approximately 8000 su's located just 5 mins east of Taihape township. The position has a wide & varied range of duties, including all facets of stock work (sheep & cattle), new & repair fencing/maintance, tractor work, chainsaw work, handpiece work (dagging & crutching), weed spraying etc. We are looking for a self motivated & conscientious person whas the following: -3 or 4 capable working dogs under good command -fencing ability -ability to use a handpiece for digging, crutching, & shearing -ability & enthusiasm to work alone & as part of a team -2 to 3 years of all-round farming experience with good stock sense & observation skills -full driver's licence -competent on quad bike & side x side A 3 bedroom house with school bus at gate
