Nithdale Station is a Family owned 1600ha Sheep, Beef and Stud Property running a good
balance of intensive flats to rolling paddocks and extensive hill blocks. We are running approx
17000su. Located only 15mins from Gore.
Our Main Focus is running a top performing unit with a positive team environment.
Do you enjoy a dynamic working environment with a diverse range of tasks? We need an
Experienced Tractor Driver who will take on the responsibility of the day to day tractor
work/requirements for the farm completing them to a high standard. This role will be primarily
tractor driving throughout the cultivation season with stock work and farm maintenance in
between.
Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):--------
Help prepare and implement the yearly Cultivation plan- Winter Crop/Wholecrop/New
Grass.
Work closely with our agronomist to monitor weed and pests.
Be familiar with Technology eg, Trackmap/Tabula online & Resolution.
Maintain and update Chemical Inventory
Ordering & monitoring Bulk Fuel
Maintaining Farm Equipment to a high standard
New fencing and R&M fencing
Water Scheme R&M
Working with Stock Manager in regards to Silage and Balege, topping.
We are wanting someone who shows initiative and has a positive, practical “can do” attitude
with good time management. Has a good knowledge and adherence to common sense Health
and Safety Standards. Have Experience driving tractors on steep terrain. The ability to follow
instructions and complete tasks. Who take pride in their work and the machinery that they
operate. This position may lead into a TRACTOR OPERATIONS MANAGERS Role.
A Current Full NZ drivers License and NZ work visa is essential.
Single accommodation is available on farm. If you are Drive in position a work truck is provided.
Remuneration is negotiable and will be based on experience
