Job Description
Patoka Station is a 1200ha intensive sheep and beef breeding and finishing property, running Romney sheep and Angus cattle, located 30 minutes from Taradale in Hawke's Bay.
We are committed to producing top quality stock and maintaining high standards of animal welfare, while providing a safe and supportive work environment for our staff.
Currently we are seeking a motivated, experienced shepherd to join our team.
This position would suit someone who has:
- The ability and desire to take on more responsibility, with a view to a Stock Management role in time.
- Initiative, dependability and a positive attitude to all work.
- Excellent stockmanship, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to high standards of quality, safety and animal well-being.
- Good communication skills and problem solving are a must.
- A reliable team of 3-4 working dogs.
- Accurate record keeping skills and use of Cloud Farmer.
- A current and full NZ driver's license.
