Job Description
Join an extensive family farming business near Pleasant Point, South Canterbury, and play a key role in developing infrastructure across a diverse and expanding operation. Our farms span Wagyu, bull beef, dairy grazing and dairy platforms, with this position focused primarily on development work across multiple blocks.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on strengthening and developing infrastructure across a large-scale farming operation. The successful applicant will:
- Build, repair and upgrade fencing (essential skill)
- Undertake development work across different farm blocks
- Improve and maintain stock water systems
- Operate tractors for a range of tasks (fertiliser spreading, mowing, fencing and general farm work)
- Assist with stock work including moving cattle, yard work and animal health tasks
- Carry out general farm maintenance as required
About You
- Proven fencing experience (essential)
- Confident and competent tractor operator
- Take pride in producing quality work
- Experience with cattle and general stock work
- Able to work unsupervised and manage your time effectively
- Strong communicator and genuine team player
Team fit is extremely important. You’ll be joining an established team of five, and we are looking for someone who contributes positively and works well within a close-knit environment.
