Glenn Farms is looking for a practical, hands-on Fencer General to join our team. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in tidy, stock-proof fencing, and don’t mind pitching in with the occasional stock work, this could be the role for you.
Te Ākau has a great rural community with plenty going on - rugby, tennis, and local events.

Glenn Farms operates across three adjoining farm blocks totalling 1500ha, and you’ll be working on projects across all of them. One of these blocks is coastal, offering access to the beach and great recreational fishing.

Water systems: Assisting with installation of a new system and expansion of existing infrastructure
General farm maintenance: Gates, yards, buildings, and infrastructure
Stock work: Occasional support to the stock managers during key periods
Machinery: Tractor and/or digger work if skilled (not essential)
Reporting to the farm owner, you will take the lead on fencing projects and help keep the farms running smoothly.

Experienced with electric and conventional fencing (install, repair, maintain)
Capable with water systems and general farm maintenance
Reliable, honest, and safety-conscious
A good communicator who can take direction and get on with the job
Well organised and able to work independently as well as in a team

Open to discussing short-term contract options
Supportive, down-to-earth young team environment
Variety of work across three neighbouring blocks
