THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare opportunity to step into a key role on a large-scale, forward-thinking station with a genuine point of difference.
WHERE
Moeangiangi Station is a 3,609ha coastal property located 60km north of Napier, running a commercial sheep and beef breeding and finishing operation.
Owned by the Joan Fernie Charitable Trust, the station is part of a wider farming business committed to performance, innovation, and giving back to the communities it serves, with profits distributed to support charitable causes.
Moeangiangi will also be home to a new cadet training programme, continuing a proud legacy of developing future leaders in the sheep and beef industry. Significant investment is underway, including new cadet facilities, infrastructure upgrades, and staff housing.
THE ROLE
As Senior Shepherd, you’ll be a key member of the on-farm team, working closely with the Moeangiangi team to deliver day-to-day livestock operations and support the development of cadets.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong stockmanship, initiative, and a high standard of work across all aspects of the farm.
You’ll be involved in all areas of stock work, animal health, feed planning, and pasture management, while helping maintain a strong culture of safety and professionalism on farm.
