Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, capable and practical person with good farming experience to manage our well-set-up 280ha bull beef finishing farm in North Waikato.
The farm runs in conjunction with two other similar properties, and this is a hands-on working role.
Key Requirements
- Good practical farming experience, especially with beef cattle or stock finishing
- Strong stockmanship and stock management skills
- Must have working dogs
- Competent tractor and machinery operation
- Good fencing and general farm maintenance skills
- Reliable, willing, and capable — someone who takes pride in doing a good job
- Honest and trustworthy with strong work ethic
Main Duties
- Day-to-day management of the property
- All stock work, animal welfare and performance
- Fencing, tractor work, water and electric fence maintenance and general farm tasks
- Working cooperatively with the owner and the team on the other properties
- Involvement in new development projects and adhoc improvement works as they arise
