Our current shepherd has done his time and is moving on to his next adventure, opening up a spot for an experienced Shepherd to join the team at Papahaua Station.
Papahaua is a breeding station stretching from the Parapara Road (SH4) to the Whanganui River β one of the stations within the Δtihau Whanganui Incorporation.
It's 6,300 ha (2,000 ha effective) of good, hard country running 500 Angus cows and 7,500 Romney/Perendale ewes, with young stock transferred to other farms in the group at weaning.
There's a big push on developing country and lifting production β offering plenty of good dog work across a solid mix of terrain.
This position will suit someone with a strong interest in livestock and stockmanship who enjoys working as part of a team in a large-scale farming operation.
