Job Description
Pukeokahu Station is located 30 minutes east of Taihape in the Pukeokahu District.
A position has come available for a Shepherd. Working with the Manager to run the 976 hectares. Property carries 10,000 su with a sheep and beef breeding operation with a mix of finishing and store.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working with dogs and has a strong interest in stockmanship. You will work alongside the Farm manager and play an important role in the day-to-day operations. You will learn about pasture management and grow and develop your skill set.
The successful applicant must have these key attributes:
3-4 dogs under full control
Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude. Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Be physically fit and in good health
Full drivers license
New Zealand Resident
Competent with quad bike on hill country
Some Tractor experience.
Can carry out day to day work including mustering, drenching, dagging, yard work and basic farm maintenance.
Firearms License would be a bonus
