Ag Drone Pilot

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Agricultural Drone Pilot to join our team. This is a hands-on role operating spray drones in a range of environments, from flat cropping paddocks to more challenging hill country, to roof spraying in urban environments.

With the proper training and experience, you’ll be responsible for safe drone operation, chemical handling, and helping deliver top-quality results on every job.

Must be comfortable working flexible and sometimes unusual hours, including night work, and long days during peak spraying season.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate agricultural spray drones (e.g. XAG)

• Plan and execute spray missions efficiently

• Mix and handle agrichemicals safely

• Maintain equipment (drones, batteries, pumps, vehicles)

• Complete job records and basic reporting

• Ensure compliance with NZ CAA and agrichemical regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Agricultural Experience

• Agrichemical handling experience

• Strong work ethic and ability to work long days in season

• Good practical skills and problem-solving ability

• Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions

• Attention to detail and safety-focused mindset

• Full NZ driver’s licence

Bonus (but not required)

• CAA Part 101/102 experience

• GROWSAFE certification

• Farming background
