Zealands most isolated outpost, passionate about sheep and beef farming along
with hunting, fishing, conservation, community and the great outdoors, please get in

This is a long time family business consisting of a 4000 acre farm based on the
Chatham Islands, it runs along 9km of stunning coast line and backs onto a nature
reserve gifted to the crown in the 1970s. The family run a sheep and beef operation
with 2500 breeding ewes and 200 breeding cows, with further scope. They own 340
acres of finishing land in Hawkes Bay where all stock are shipped to from the
Chathams. They also run a private conservation group which is a global leader in
conservation work in particular with seabirds see -taiko.org.nz . The farm also
consists of two fully enclosed predator free areas where a lot of the projects take
place.
Wide range Skills required - Good team competent dogs
- Dagging /crutching skills
- General fencing skills
- Ability to work independently
