Shepherd/Experienced Shepherd

Red Oak stud is a 2100h property located in the Weka Pass North Canterbury, Running commercial Romney sheep and angus cattle aswell as a Romney stud and Angus stud. The farm is roughly a 50/50 mix of flat to rolling country and steep hill country ranging to 900m above sea level.

We are after someone with

• 3-4 years experience

• 4-5 working dogs

• can do attitude with common sense

• full Nz residency

• be confident handling big mobs of stock etc

• be able to work alone or as part of the team.

• have good communication skills

This role will have a good variety of work including a mix of stock work, involvement in the stud, occasional tractor driving, weed control and fencing.

A tidy recently built warm three bedroom house available.

Located 15 minutes from Amberley and 5 minutes from Waikari.

Plenty of recreational activities on farm.

Strong rugby clubs nearby.

A strong dog trial club with the local trial held on farm.
