We are seeking an experienced shepherd general to assist with the running of our sheep and beef farm. The farm is located in Eastern Southland. We run 4250 breeding ewes and 100 trading cattle on 557ha of rolling improved pasture. We are seeking an honest, reliable employee who has some previous experience working with sheep and beef. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work unsupervised and have good communication skills. Preference will be given to someone with a full driver’s licence and a working team of dogs. Applicants must have New Zealand working rights. There is no accommodation on farm. However, we are just 15 minutes from Gore and 10 minutes from Mataura. We will offer a competitive rate based on experience.
