Exciting opportunity to join a family run farm based in the scenic Hakataramea Valley.
Located 10 minutes out of Kurow township, Viewfield Farm is a Sheep and Beef (Merino & Romney, Angus & Charolais) breeding, finishing and cropping operation.
We strive to maximise production and productivity alongside following the best practices of animal welfare and land management. To support this, we have recently introduced Halter within our herd to improve time efficiency and pasture utilisation.
The Role
Working closely alongside the farm owner, this role offers plenty of variety.
Daily tasks will include:
General animal husbandry
Operating tractors and farm machinery
Fencing and general farm maintenance
A wide range of day-to-day farm duties across the operation
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in general farm work, including fencing and machinery operation 2–3 working dogs under good command
