Farm Operations Team Member

Hakataramea Station is a progressive 4,000ha mixed farming operation located in the beautiful Hakataramea Valley, just 20 minutes from Kurow. We run sheep, beef and deer alongside with a mix of irrigation and drylands.

Rather than being tied to one area of the business, this role offers the opportunity to work across machinery, stock, irrigation, fencing, spraying and general farm operations. While there are times of the year when you will focus on a particular job, the role offers excellent variety across the seasons and the chance to continually develop your skills.

The Role

This is a genuine all-round farming position. Throughout the year you will be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:

• Tractor driving

• Operating the spray truck

• Feeding out

• Stock work across sheep, beef and deer

• Fencing and water systems

• Irrigation

• General farm repairs and maintenance

• Weed and pest control

• Farm development projects

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has practical farming experience

• Enjoys operating modern machinery or is keen to learn

• Has good stock sense

• Takes pride in producing quality work

• Is reliable, motivated and works well as part of a small team
