Taurapa Station has a lot to offer. At 1450 Ha, it has a good mix of country and of stock classes. Stock is made up of:
5000 terminal ewes with all lambs sold at our annual on farm lamb sale
350 breeding cows with all progeny finished
A further 5-700 trade cattle finished
Some winter trade lambs, season dependent
The position will provide a lot of flex for the right applicant and their abilities, with responsibility matched appropriately.
In terms of the day to day operations, the ideal candidate will: - Be passionate about feeding stock and meeting production targets; - Have a capable team of minimum 4 dogs; - Strive for improvement in all aspects of their career and job; - Have a broad general skill set; - A positive attitude towards health and safety.
