Assistant Manager– Livestock & Operations

Numby Pastoral | Central West NSW, AustraliaWe’re looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our progressive, family-owned sheep and cattle operation at Reid’s Flat, NSW on the Lachlan River.
This is a genuine second-in-charge role with strong sheep, cattle and dog handling experience essential. Interest or experience in drone piloting for agricultural operations and the aptitude to expand this role further as we lean into drone technology is highly regarded. This is a genuine second-in-charge role with scope to take ownership of key systems and projects.
The role includes:
• Leadership in day-to-day farm operations and coordinating and supervision of permanent and contract staff.
Large-scale cross-bred and composite sheep enterprise (~10,000 ewes)
• Stock handling with dogs, drones, bikes & buggies
• Drone use for livestock & ag operations
• Supporting intensive sheep feeding operations and cattle trading
• Work as part of the management team across 2 farms
• Machinery operation, pasture & infrastructure management
