Job Description
East Coast Livestock is a farming and contracting business based in Gisborne. We lease 4 stations across the region and also run crews developing and maintaining farms. Our teams do fencing, roading, water reticulation, scrub clearing, airstrips etc. We have a wide range of machinery including diggers, dozers, tractors, rollers. We are currently looking for an operator to join our team.
This is a varied and interesting role. Main tasks include:
- Pushing fencelines in front of the fencing team – 50%
- Laying fencelines
- Farm development and maintenance e.g: dams, tracks and roads, culverts, yardsites, airstrips etc.
- Class 4 or 5 licence would be an advantage as we cart our own machinery and livestock.
You must be an experienced operator able to work independently and within our other crews. A lot of our work is on steeper terrain, so you must also have done this type of work before.
Full time or part time role available
Must have own vehicle to get to site.
Work is based within a 2 hour radius of Gisborne. You must be happy to camp out on site when required.
Singleman’s quarters are available at our yard in town and at the farms.
