About the Job:

Our Family farming and expanding contract farming business, located near Teelba in South-West QLD, is seeking a full-time machinery operator/farm hand. A large portion of our work is contracting off-farm within a 80km radius of home. You must have experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery with a willingness to learn new practices, be a team player, and be adaptable to the seasonal expectations involved in all aspects of farming.

The position is predominately operating machinery where we embrace modern farming technologies and practices, using new model John Deere Machinery, including self propelled spray rigs, tractors, headers, camera sprayer, offsets, planters, dozers and various other machinery.

We are seeking someone who has the motivation to help with every tasks to do with the running of a farm, including but not limited to
•Operating a range of machinery
•Servicing and maintaining machinery
•Workshop jobs
•Preparation planting and harvest jobs
•Cattle work / fencing
•All general farm duties 

What we expect:
•You must have your own vehicle, not needed to be used for work unless negotiated
•Valid manual drivers license (HR or higher an advantage)
•Non-Smoker / Vaper 
•Clean and sober habits
•Zero drug policy
•Trustworthy
•Honest, respectful, reliable and hardworking in all aspects of daily farming operations
•Genuine love for farming and willing to get in and have a go
•Physically fit for farm work
•Team Player, someone who loves a laugh but also works well independently

•Preferably no pets

What we offer:
Remuneration package will be a negotiated hourly rate dependent on experience. Regular periods of long hours when spraying, planting and harvesting. Air conditioned, single man’s accommodation OR small 2 bedroom accommodation available.

We employ 4 full-time men and extra seasonal staff.
We like to and have previously kept employees’ long term, so we strive to maintain a good open relationship with staff and include them as part of the family. Ample of opportunity for growth and to gain new skills/qualifications.
