WHERE
Alexander Farming Genetics Ltd is a high-performing, family-owned farming business operating across four properties in the Waikato and Tararua regions, totalling over 1,290 hectares. The business runs a diversified mixed-enterprise model, including an intensive commercial sheep and cattle breeding and finishing programme, alongside a recorded stud of Facial Eczema Tolerant Romney ewes.
Wintering approximately 10,000 stock units at an average of 14 SU/ha, the operation continues to expand, with a recently acquired 180ha block currently under development to support drystock and arable farming.
Following a recent strategic restructure, the business now operates under a formal Board with an independent Chair and clear governance and management oversight. This well-organised structure supports long-term sustainability, growth, and succession planning. This positions Alexander Farming Genetics Ltd as a professionally run and future-focused farming enterprise.
