Junior Farm Worker

Clachanburn Station is over 2000ha, consisting of steep hill country and irrigated flat land located in the Maniototo, Central Otago. We have both Elk and Red deer studs, which we produce for venison, velvet and for our trophy hunting business. We also have bison, Highland cattle and Arapawa sheep.

We are looking for someone fit, hard working and enthusiastic who is keen to expand their knowledge and ability on one of the most high-class deer farms in the country. The work is varied and includes stockwork, tractor driving, general maintenance and irrigation. Previous deer experience is an advantage, but is not essential. The work can be physically demanding, and requires you to be confident driving and working on a range of terrains. Tractor driving experience is a requirement. You will need a strong work ethic, an open attitude and be able to work independently.

On-farm accommodation is provided.

A full driver’s license is required, and you must either be an Australian or NZ citizen or hold a valid, current working visa.

This is a full-time, preferably long-term position, starting as soon as possible.
