Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Farm Worker & Machinery Operator to join our team on a progressive mixed farming property in Northern Tasmania. This role involves a focus on the safe and efficient use of modern agricultural machinery, maintenance, project builds and support the livestock team at peak times.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain a range of farm machinery, including tractors, seeders, sprayers, and harvest equipment

Assist with all aspects of crop production, including planting, spraying, irrigation, and harvesting

Livestock handling support at busy periods.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and infrastructure

Monitor and report on crop

Adhere to workplace health and safety standards at all times
Skills & Experience:
-
Prefer proven experience in some of expected tasks and willingness to undertake on-farm training

Competency in operating modern agricultural machinery (GPS and precision ag experience highly regarded)

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
-
Experience handling livestock safely and effectively

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver’s licence

We are a family farming operation over 1200 ha farm in Northern Tasmania, including pivot irrigation cropping, lamb breeding and finishing. We have a small, motivated team with a results driven focus towards production and innovation.
